"Inspiration" Douglas Bader RAF Battle Of Britain signed print x20

Official limited edition print of the 60th Anniversary of the Douglas Bader Foundation. Douglas Bader (D-B) leading Dogsbody Section, 616 Squadron,
including Johnnie Johnson (YQ-E) , Cocky Dundas (YO-A) and Jeff West (YQ-H) on his final operational take off from Westhampnett on August 9th 1941.

On 9th August 1941 the RAF Ace Douglas Bader took off on 'Circus No 68' - another aggressive sortie over occupied France.
Leading the famous 'Dogsbody Section' in his Spitfire Va Bader takes off from Westhamptnett at the head of three other equally renown pilots -
YQ-E is the Spitfire of Johnnie Johnson, YQ-A is flown by Hugh Dundas and, on this occasion Bader's wingman was Jeff West flying YQ-H -
his regular wingman Alan Smith being unwell! The 'Tangmere Wing' will soon become embroiled with one of the Luftwaffe's best Units - JG26 -
and Bader will have to bale out of his Spitfire into captivity!

Sadly these pilots are no longer with us.
